Ozone Sterilization Technology

Ozone Sterilization:
A Proven Breakthrough in Ozone Technology

The medical industry is no stranger to ozone, having long applied its remarkable antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties in treatments and therapies.

Now, years of scientific research and development have resulted in Clean Waste Systems’ patented ozone technology that effectively treats medical waste while creating zero emissions, zero hazardous fumes, and using zero steam or heat. That's what we call ozone clean.

The Key to Cleaner Treatment

What is ozone?

Ozone is a form of oxygen, consisting of three oxygen molecules (O3). Unlike diatomic oxygen (O2,) the breathable oxygen present in our atmosphere, ozone is highly unstable, decaying to O2 within just 30 minutes — making it a powerful oxidizing agent.

Clean Waste Systems’ proprietary Humidizone™ system injects ozone through water to achieve maximum decontamination with no emissions, hazardous fumes, dangerous chemicals, steam or heat.

How does it work?

Ozone Sterilization

Ozone is created 02 CONVERTER

Ozone Creation

Oxygen molecules are electrically charged, splitting some apart. The split atoms then attach to the remaining oxygen molecules and form ozone.

Ozone is used to decontaminate 02 CONVERTER

Decontamination

An atom from the unstable ozone splits to attack and destroy pathogens.

02 CONVERTER

Oxidation

After the pathogen’s cell walls are destroyed, the rogue atoms reattach themselves and return to oxygen, creating zero emissions.

Ozone Sterilization is the Future

For too long, the industry has relied on odorous, dirty and dangerous processes like autoclaving and incineration. Ozone sterilization is a safe, clean and exceedingly effective alternative — one that eliminates many of the operational, budgetary and environmental issues that plague older technologies while simultaneously providing greater cost controls.
